Supervisor on Assignment Basis (Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing) (MEP Supervisor)
Qualification :
I. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution with five (05) years of experience about maintaining of high rise building.
Salary : Rs. 100,000/- (With Allowances) (Negotiable)
Age : Not more than 45 years.
Service Period : The appointment will be given for an initial assignment period of one year and the assignment period of this position will be extended based on performance.
Supervisor on Contract Basis (Electrical)
Qualification :
I. National Certificate in Technology or equivalent qualifications with 3 years’ experience may be obtained while following the NCT course;
OR
II. G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in 6 subjects at not more than 2 sittings with at least 5 years’ experience as a Supervisor in the relevant field in a Government, Local Government or State Corporation or a recognized Engineering Establishment .
Salary : Rs. 54,425.00 (With Allowances)
Selection : By trade test and interview.
Age : Not more than 45 years.
Service Period : The appointment will be given for an initial contract period of 05 months and the contract period of this position will be extended based on performance.
Technical Officer on Contract Basis
Qualification :
I. Three (03) G.C.E. (Advance Level) passes in Science subjects in one sitting;
AND
II. Passed a skill oriented formal programme of training relevant to the post of at least one year (full-time) duration or equivalent. The acceptability of the training programme for this purpose shall be judged by faculty concerned.
Salary : Rs. 54,425.00 (With Allowances)
Selection : By written and/or practical test and an interview.
Age : Not more than 45 years.
Mason on Contract Basis
Qualification:
I. Having obtained a Proficiency Certificate not below than the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 issued by a Technical/ Vocational training institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the function of Mason.
Other:
I. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
II. Should be physically and mentally fit to the discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island.
III. Should be of excellent moral character.
Salary : Rs. 52,715.00 (With Allowances)
Selection : By trade test and interview.
Age : Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
Service Period: The appointment will be given for an initial contract period of 05 months and the contract period of this position will be extended based on performance.
Driver on Contract Basis
Qualification :
I. Having passed six (06) subjects in G.C.E. (O/L) examination, at least with two (02) credit passes in maximum of two sittings.
AND
II. Having obtained the license issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic for driving heavy vehicles and a minimum of three (03) years experience in driving after obtaining the driving license.
Other:
I. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
II. Should be physically and mentally fit to the discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island.
III. Should be of excellent moral character.
Salary : Rs. 52,715.00 (With Allowances)
Selection : By trade test and interview.
Age : Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
Service Period : The appointment will be given for an initial contract period of 05 months and the contract period of this position will be extended based on performance.
Security Guard on Contact Basis
Qualification :
I. Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings.
Other:
I. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
II. Should be physically and mentally fit to the discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island.
III. Should be of excellent moral character.
Salary : Rs. 49,825.00 (With Allowances)
Selection : By trade test and interview.
Age : Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
Service Period : The appointment will be given for an initial contract period of 05 months and the contract period of this position will be extended based on performance.
Note : All applicants are required to contribute 10% of their earnings to the University Provident Fund, and the University will contribute 15% of their earnings to the University Provident Fund. In addition, the University will contribute 3% to the Employees’ Trust Fund. Overtime allowance is also paid subject to a certain limit for overtime worked due to service requirements.

Failure to provide the required details, being unclear or receiving the application after the due date, not attaching photocopies of relevant certificates in support of qualifications and experience or not fulfilling any other requirement will lead to rejection of the application.
If any application is rejected, it will not be reconsidered for any reason whatsoever. The appointment on contract basis will not entitle the candidate to a permanent position in the University.
