Department of Computer Engineering
Positions: Senior Lecturer Grade I/Senior Lecturer Grade II/Lecturer (Probationary)
The Department is in search of academics, preferably with a first Degree in Engineering from a recognized University in Computer Engineering. Those with first degrees (of four-year duration) in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Physical Science may also apply to be considered for appointment provided they have acceptable Postgraduate and/ or Professional Qualifications for recruitment as Senior Lecturer Grade I/ Senior Lecturer Grade II. Preferred areas of specialization are Robotic, Data mining and cloud computing, Natural language processing and high-performance computing.
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Positions: Senior Lecturer Grade I/Senior Lecturer Grade II/Lecturer (Probationary)
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is in search of candidates with first Degree in Engineering from a recognized University in the fields of Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering. Preferred areas of specialization are Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Building Services Engineering.
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Positions: Senior Lecturer Grade I/Senior Lecturer Grade II/Lecturer (Probationary)
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is in search of candidates with first Degree in Engineering from a recognized University in the fields of Electrical Engineering and/ or Electronic Engineering. Preferred areas of specialization are Electrical Power Systems, Machines and Drives, Embedded systems and Biomedical Engineering.
Department of Civil Engineering
Positions: Senior Lecturer Grade I/Senior Lecturer Grade II/Lecturer (Probationary)
The Department of Civil Engineering is in search of candidates with first Degree in Engineering from a recognized University in the field of Civil Engineering. Preferred areas of specialization are Soil mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and Hydraulics.
Department of Interdisciplinary Studies
Positions: Senior Lecturer Grade I/Senior Lecturer Grade II/Lecturer (Probationary)
The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies is in search of candidates with first Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Management from a recognized University. Preferred areas of specialization are Engineering Mathematics, Industrial Management & Law and Humanities & Social Sciences.
Those applying for posts of Senior Lecturer Grade I/ Grade II should ensure that they process 12 years/ 6 years of experience respectively, after graduation either in teaching, research, industry or postgraduate studies.

A) Senior Lecturer Grade I
Rs.87,415 – 7×2,020 – 101,555 p.m. U AC 3 (I) with effect from 01.01.2020
Rs.70,667 – 7 x1,632 – 82,091 p.m. U-AC 3 (I) with effect from 01.01.2018
B) Senior Lecturer Grade II
Rs.76,275 – 11×1,520 – 92,995 p.m. U-AC 3 (II) with effect from 01.01.2020
Rs.61,667 – 11×1,228 – 75,175 p.m. U-AC 3 (II) with effect from 01.01.2018
C) Lecturer (Probationary)
Rs.53,235 – 10×1,240 – 65,635 p.m. U-AC 3 (IV) with effect from 01.01.2020
Rs.43,051- 10×1,002 – 53,071 p.m. U-AC 3 (IV) with effect from 01.01.2018
The other allowances determined by the University Grants Commission will be paid in addition to the above salary. Accordingly,

Approximate Gross Salary Rs.156,348.95 with effect from 01.01.2018
(Further Research Allowances of 35% of basic salary is entitled for ongoing research works)
B) Senior Lecturer Grade II
Approximate Gross Salary Rs.137,448.05 with effect from 01.01.2018
(Further Research Allowances of 35% of basic salary is entitled for ongoing research works)
C) Lecturer (Probationary)
Approximate Gross Salary Rs.88,626.25
(Further Research Allowances of 35% of basic salary is entitled for ongoing research works)
Benefits: (Senior Lecturer Grade I/ Senior Lecturer Grade II/ Lecturer (Probationary))
- Selected candidates will contribute 10% from their monthly salary to the Universities’ Provident Fund while the University will make a contribution of 15% of their salary of which 8% will be credited to Universities Pension Fund and 7% to the Universities Provident Fund. In addition, they will become contributors to the Employees’ Trust Fund which the University will contribute an amount equivalent to 3% of the Salary.
- Senior Lecturer Grade II and above are eligible for one year of Sabbatical Leave with full pay or two years without pay on completion of seven years of service. Further, those proceeding abroad on during the Sabbatical Leave Period are eligible to receive full air passage for self and spouse.
