Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura stated that the importance of friendship between nations has increased over the years. “At the University of Sri Jayewardenepura we encourage harmony between students. We are catering to nearly 13500 students who are coming from various different backgrounds, therefore it is necessary to impress upon the message that we must all work in unison to achieve goals. Events such as these which bring states together are fine examples for students who will be the next leaders of the world” he said.
The paintings will be showcased throughout the member states to provide the public the exposure of experiencing the artistic creations of other artists in the South Asian Region.
