The University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ) has become the Joint third-best university in Sri Lanka according to the THE World University Rankings 2025, published yesterday (October 09, 2024). USJ was listed in the same status in the rankings last year (2024 ranking), but it has improved its performance significantly this year.
THE World University Rankings is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive university rankings in the world. It is based on 13 performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
