‘These are not dew drops of Jaffna‘ a photographic exhibition by Nayanahari Abeynayake was at display at the Sumangala Hall from 19th to 23rd October. It was another event lined for the ‘Wedikawen Mahapolowata’ art festival.
As a conspicuous form of art, photography is able to touch angles quite unforeseen in life. Nayanahari’s pictures are about social equality, though her approach is subtle and heartrending. Her eye has captured striking angles, vibrant colours and conversant scenes. Together they carry a message to masses about humanity. It is the very reason why the exhibition was included in ‘Wedikawen Mahapolowata’ , as it reflects the festival’s theme.
