The academic year 2023/24 of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura commences on January 6, 2025
All necessary arrangements have been made to begin the academic year on January 6, 2025.
The orientation program for new first-year students will be held in two phases, from December 26, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
The first phase will be held online from December 26 to 31, 2024. During this period, students can access the “Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences – Online Orientation 2025” website to obtain information about the university, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, departments, courses, and other relevant details. All announcements and guidelines for new students will be provided through this website, and students are advised to carefully refer to this information.
The second phase of the orientation program will commence with the official orientation ceremony on January 1, 2025, which will be held at the Bandaranayake Hall on the university premises. From this day until January 5, 2025, new students will participate in awareness programs organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Attendance for these sessions is mandatory. All relevant announcements and instructions during this period will also be provided through the aforementioned website.
Lectures for first-year students will officially begin on January 6, 2025. Further details will be announced later through the official Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences website.
Furthermore, academic activities for second-year, third-year, and fourth-year students will also commence on January 6, 2025.
