Professor Neelika Malavige joined The International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID)’s Executive Committee on March 10, 2020. Prof. Neelika is the Director of the Centre for Dengue Research at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura since 2012 and she has published extensively on dengue, for which she has won many awards.
ISID’s Executive Committee members are responsible for appointing the Executive Director and overseeing all of ISID’s activities. Executive Committee members are elected by Council Members at biennial General Meetings of the Society held in conjunction with the Society’s International Congress on Infectious Diseases.
