Opening Ceremony of the Senior Common Room “Santhagaraya”

Opening ceremony of newly built Senior Common Room of academic staff “Santhagaraya” was held on 14th June 2017. Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University graced the event as the chief guest. It is functions as a staff social club and welfare society of the university of Sri Jayewardenepura. The membership currently includes over 275 academic and academic support staff within the various departments, Center for IT Services, the Library and senior administrative staff of the University.

The facilities and events that the Senior Common Room and Welfare Society provides a wide range of opportunities for social interaction, networking and welfare activities of staff members. The newly-refurbished senior common room is located in the rooftop of the Sumangala building.
