Mr. Shehan Silva of University of Sri Jayewardenepura was twice victorious at the inter University Public Speaking Competition: ‘Best Speaker 2018’ organized by the University of Sri Kelaniya Sri Lanka. Mr. Silva participated in the event as a representative of the Gavel Club, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and was able to secure the championship of the event. He also became the winner in the category of ‘Best Prepared Speaker’ of this event.
Best Speaker is an all island inter university public speaking contest organized by the Gavel Club of the University of Kelaniya for the 14th consecutive year. This year the theme of the contest was ‘Tree’ which brought together the concept of sustainability, growth and the budding talents of young and aspiring speakers.
