Mr.Rumesh Liyanage who is reading Ph.D Degree at Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Sri Jayewardenepura have been awarded a GOLD MEDAL by the SLAYS Open Forum 2017 held on 28th February and 1st of march 2017 at Hilton residencies, Colombo under the theme of “Research for Impact: March of the Sri Lankan Young Scientist” supervised by Prof. S.B. Nawarathne (Principle supervisor), Prof. K.K.D.S.ranaweera and Dr. Indira Wickramasighe.
This award is granted by Sri Lanka Academy of Young Scientists (SLAYS) and National Science Foundation Sri Lanka (NSF) in collaboration with Coordinating Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI). There were around 150 scientists and ten post graduate research studies (Only MPhil’s and PhDs) were selected by foreign and local expert panel for the gold medal.
