Department of Entrepreneurship of Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Industrial Service Bureau (ISB) which is a statutory body under the North Western (Wayamba) Provincial Council in mid 1990 on 19th February 2015 at the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Mr. Jayantha Wijerathna- Secretary-Wayamba Provincial Council, Chairman- Industrial Service Bureau, signed on behalf of the above said organisation and Prof: Sampath Amaratunge- Vice Chancellor, University of Sri Jayewardenepura signed on behalf of the University.
Further, Dr. Anura Kumara (Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce) Mr. Rukmal Weerasinghe (Head- Department of Entrepreneurship) Mr. Shyaman Udayanga (Former Head, Department of Entrepreneurship), Mr. Neelakanth Wanninayaka (Chief Executive Director- ISB), Academic Staff Members of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Staff Members of ISB participated for the event.
This MoU was signed with ISB, with the aim of build up a strategic alliance between both organisations while sharing Management expertise, knowledge, experience and strengths of both organizations, in order to provide comprehensive service package for the benefit of Small and Medium Sector Entrepreneurs. It is expected to exchange the practical knowledge and the theoretical knowledge through the collaboration of the academia and the industry specialists.
