“Illumino 2.0,” was an enlightening installation organized by the official Japura Tourism Club of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. This prestigious event featured distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest, Dr. Shweta Chandra, Manager of Learning and Development at Taj Samudra Colombo; Mr. Chandana Gamage, the Financial Controller of Berjaya Hotel, Colombo; and Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The event was held on 17th October 2023.
In addition to these esteemed individuals, the event hosted a representative from the Cultural Section of the Russian Embassy of Sri Lanka, Japanese representatives, a representative of the Chinese Language and Cultural Center, a representative from Mr. Dumpling, and a representative from Lumbini Confucius Classroom. The Director of the International Affairs of USJ, Dr. Ruwini Dharmawadene also participated in this event.
“Illumino 2.0” offered a unique opportunity for interaction between students and industry experts. Attendees had the chance to gain valuable knowledge from industrial experts and, in turn, share their industry insights with students. This event was a remarkable platform for the exchange of ideas and expertise, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
