The Faculty of Computing at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura collaborated with Hutch to host a knowledge-sharing workshop, FUTURE CONNECT, for second-year undergraduates. The workshop was held on Wednesday, January 08, 2025, at Prof. K.A. Munasinghe Hall, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. This initiative aimed to prepare students for cutting-edge technologies and the demands of the future.
The workshop included sessions on:
- Data Communications and Networking
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
- Data Analysis
- Soft Skills Development (e.g., CV writing, interview preparation, and career planning)
Prof. Prasad Jayaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, welcomed the Hutch delegates, emphasizing the value of such collaborations. Mr. Mangala Bandara, General Manager of Corporate Affairs at Hutch, explained that the goal is to empower the next generation for the competitive IT industry. Other notable speakers included:
