The first Diploma Awarding Ceremony of the Advanced Diploma in Sports Science and Management, offered by the Department of Sports Science, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was held on the 27th of September 2024. The event took place at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the Department of Sports Science, recognizing the achievements of students who successfully completed the program. The Advanced Diploma in Sports Science and Management is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills in the growing field of sports science, combining academic learning with practical experience.
Students received their diplomas in the presence of Senior Professor Pathmalal M. Manage, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Prof. Upul Subasingha, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and Registrar of University of Sri Jayewardenepura Mr. A.B. Welivita along with members of the academic staff. The ceremony highlighted the department’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and contributing to the professional development of future leaders in the sports science industry.
