Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura recently received the senior professorship and became the first senior professor in the field of economics. On behalf of his great achievement a felicitation ceremony was held on 26th July 2018 organized by the staff members and undergraduates of the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce.
The felicitation ceremony was held with the participation of the Senior Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Dr. Anura U. Kumara, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, Dr. (Ms.) Dinesha Siriwardhane, Head of the Department f Business Economics, academic members, and undergraduates.
