The new dance studio at New Wimaladhamma Mansion of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was officially handed over to the students on September 12, 2024. It stands as one of the largest dance studios among Sri Lankan universities, fully equipped with two practice halls, dressing rooms, storage rooms, and all other necessary amenities. The opening ceremony was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, attended by several distinguished guests.
The Department of Languages, Cultural Studies, and Performing Arts, under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, offers both Dance Honors and General degree programs, along with a Drama General degree. The new dance studio will benefit not only students in the Dance and Drama programs but also the entire university community.
