The University of Sri Jayawardenepura is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Nishan Dharmaweera as the new dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Dr. Dharmaweera has served as a senior lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering since 2016.
His journey within the university has been marked by significant accomplishments, culminating in his role as the head of the department in 2022. Dr. N. Dharmaweera’s academic journey is distinguished, holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering with First Class Honors from Monash University, Australia.
His dedication to advancing knowledge in the field led him to pursue post-graduate studies at Monash University, where he successfully obtained his PhD in telecommunication engineering. Following this, he contributed to cutting-edge research as a post-doctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
