The Career Skills Development society guided by the Career Guidance Unit of Japura launched its initiative to “Donate Happiness” for the 3rd consecutive time on the 18th May 2016. This time around they decided to contribute towards purchasing a PET scan machine along with other essential items to the National Cancer Hospital, Maharagama.
The word of humanity, love and caring was thereby spread throughout the university via social media and other forms resulting in academics, non academics and other external parties all lending a hand in making this project of theirs a booming success with not only a financial donation of RS 200,000 being given for the PET scan machine but also a miscellaneous collection of essential items worth RS 400,000 (approx.)
