Prof. Dayananda Ambalangodage, Professor in Accounting and Senior Lecture in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce of University of Sri Jayewardenepura has passed away.
Prof. Ambalangodage holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), PhD and professional certifications of FCA, ACMA, CMA Australia, and CTHE. His expertise developed at the interface among accounting and public administration and management. His work was interdisciplinary, and drew on qualitative methods, from an interpretive and a critical perspective. He has published on public sector accounting, budgeting, performance management and accountability, reform and change processes, governmental financial resilience. He was a member of the governing board of the Techno-economic-Societal Sustainable Development Training in Sri Lanka (TESS) project, co-funded by the European Union under the auspices of Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education Programme. He was also a board member of the comparative Asia Africa Government Accounting (CAAGA).
The final rites of Prof. Dayananda Ambalangodage will be performed on 24th of November 2022 (Thursday) at Godigamuwa Public Cemetery, Godigamuwa. His remains will be laid at the home address 86/6, Katuwawala rd, Boralesgamuwa.
