The Department of Business Economics together with the Centre for Banking Studies of Central Bank of Sri Lanka organized a two day workshop on the theme of “Role of Central Bank in Sri Lanka” for the final year undergraduates of the department. That was held at the Centre for Banking Studies, Rajagiriya on the 11th and 12th of July 2019.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. J.P.R. Karunaratne (Assistant Governor, Central Bank of Sri Lanka), Mr. A.A.M. Thassim (Director-Bank Supervision Department), Mrs. K. Ambagahawita (Senior Assistant Director-Payments & Settlements Department), Dr. R.A. Anil Perera (Acting Additional Director-Domestic Operations Department), Mr. Sunanda Obeysekera (Deputy Director-International Operations Department), Mrs. S.T. Abeysirigunawardana (Senior Assistant Director-Department of Supervision of Non-Bank Financial Institutions), Mr. A.M. Gunathilake (Additional Superintendent-Currency Department), Mr. Janaka Edirisingha (Head-Money and Banking Division, Economic Research Department) and Mrs. E.H. Mohotty (Acting Additional Director-Financial Intelligence Unit).
