Diploma in Development Policy Analysis (DPA) – 2019

Applications are now calling for the Diploma in Development Policy Analysis (DPA) – 2019 conducts by the  Department of Economics in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Candidates who fulfill the following qualifications are invited to send their applications on or before 30^th November 2018.

Required qualifications

G.C.E. A/L examination with two passes OR G.C.E O/L examination with six passes in one attempt and a minimum three years of experience in Development or Regional Administration.
*Final selection of the qualified candidates will be done via an interview.

Course fee: Rs.57 500

Duration: One year (Two Semesters) Diploma

Lectures: Saturdays from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Medium: Sinhala

Target groups

• Public representatives and officers in local government authorities
• Management Assistants, Development Officers, Field Officers and officers in parallel grades in government and semi-government sectors
• Field Officers in Non-Governmental Organizations and in the private sector
• Executive officers without degree qualifications

1. The course commences from January 2019 onwards.
2. Candidates who successfully complete this course will be eligible to apply for the Bachelor in Arts (external) Degree conducted by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
3. This course consists of local or foreign field visits. The cost of filed visits is not included within the course fee and will be arranged according to each student’s interest.
4. Application forms with relevant details can be obtained from the Department of Economics or downloaded from http://fhss.sjp.ac.lk/
5. Pay Rs.1000 to Account No: 097-100150005005 of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura at any Peoples’ Bank branch and submit the copy of the bank receipt along with the application form.
6. Duly filled application forms should be sent to the following address

The first installment of Rs.30 000/= should be paid at the registration of the course and the rest to be paid within the first three months from the date of commencement.
