Mr. Isuru U. Kariyawasam a lecturer, Department of Botany, Faculty of Applied Sciences, recently achieved the status of “Fellow” of the UK Advance Higher Education Academy (HEA) in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in Higher Education. Mr. Kariyawasm is currently reading his Ph.D. in the discipline of Phylogenomics & Molecular Systematics of Plants in the University of Edinburgh and The Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, UK.
