The University of Sri Jayewardenepura signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Beijing Institute of Technology of China, on 19th June 2018 with the purpose of promoting student exchange programs between two institutes. The vice president of BIT and Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura signed the MOU at the board room of the administrative building of the university. Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Lalith Ananda, Head of the Department of English, Mr. Hemantha P. Diunugala, Head of the Department of Social Statistics, Mr. Sarath Ananda, Head of the Department of the English Language Teaching and Mr. C. L. K. Navarathna, former dean of the FHSS participated in the event.
